【摘要】:AcceptanceTesting8212;Thismethodoftestingfabricsresistancetopillingisnotrecommendedforacceptancetesting.Ifitisusedforacceptancetesting,itshouldbeusedwithcautionbecauseinterlaboratorydataarenotavailable.Insomecasesthepurchaserorsuppliermayhavetotestacommercialshipmentofoneormorespecificmaterialsbythebestavailablemethodeventhoughthemethodhasnotbeenrecommendedforacceptancetesting.Althoughthistestmethodisnotrecommendedforacceptancetesting,itisusefulbecauseitisusedwidelyoutsidetheUnitedStates.Ifthereisadisagreementarisingfromdifferencesinvaluesreportedbythepurchaserandthesupplierwhenusingthistestmethod,thestatisticalbias,ifany,betweenthelaboratoryofthepurchaserandthelaboratoryofthesuppliershouldbedeterminedwithcomparisonbeingbasedontestingspecimensrandomlydrawnfromonesampleofmaterialofthetypebeingevaluated.Competentstatisticalassistanceisrecommendedfortheinvestigationofbias.Aminimumoftwopartiesshouldtakeagroupoftestspecimens,whichareashomogeneousaspossibleandwhicharefromalotofmaterialofthetypeinquestion.Thetestspecimensthenshouldbeassignedrandomlyinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.Theaveragetestresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusinganacceptablestatisticalprotocolandprobabilitylevelchosenbythetwopartiesbeforethetestingisstarted.Appropriatestatisticaldisciplinesforcomparingdatamustbeusedwhenthepurchaserandsuppliercannotagree.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrected,orthepurchaserandthesuppliermustagreetointerpretfutureresultswithconsiderationfortheknownbias.Thepillingoftextilefabricsisaverycomplexpropertybecauseitisaffectedbymanyfactorsthatinclude:typeoffiberorblends,fiberdimensions,yarnandfabricconstruction,andfabricfinishingtreatments.Thepillingresistanceofaspecificfabricinactualwearvariesmorewithgeneralconditionsofuseandindividualwearersthaninreplicatefabricspecimenssubjectedtocontrolledlaboratorytests.Thisexperienceshouldbeborneinmindwhenadoptinglevelsofacceptabilityforaseriesofstandards.Finishesandfabricsurfacechangesmayexertalargeeffectonpilling.Itisrecommendedthatfabricsbetestedafterlaunderingordrycleaning,orboth.Testingbeforerefurbishingalsomaybeadvisable.Prioragreementbetweeninterestedpartiesshoulddeterminethestateofthetest.Pillsvaryappreciablyinsizeandappearanceanddependonthepresenceoflintanddegreeofcolorcontrast.Thesefactorsarenotevaluatedwhenpillingisratedsolelyonthenumberofpills.Thedevelopmentofpillsmaybeaccompaniedbyothersurfacephenomena,suchaslossofcover,colorchange,orthedevelopmentoffuzz.Sincetheoverallacceptabilityofaspecificfabricisdependentonboththecharacteristicsofthepillsandtheotherfactorsaffectingthesurfaceappearance,itissuggestedthatfabricstestedinthelaboratorybeevaluatedsubjectivelywithregardtotheiracceptabilityandnotratedsolelyonthenumberofpillsdeveloped.Aseriesofstandards,basedongraduateddegreesofsurfacechangeofthefabrictypebeingtested,maybesetuptoprovideabasisforsubjectiveratings.Thevisualstandardsaremostadvantageouswhenthelaboratorytestspecimenscorrelatecloselyinappearancewithwornfabricsandshowasimilarratioofpillstofuzz.Countingthepillsandweighingtheirnumberwithrespecttotheirsizeandcontrast,asacombinedmeasureofpillingresistance,isnotrecommendedbecauseoftheexcessivetimerequiredforcounting,sizing,andcalculation.Thedegreeoffabricpilli.......
