【摘要】:Thepermissiblelevelofheavymetalsincertaincoatingsisspecifiedbygovernmentalregulatoryagencies.Thistestmethodprovidesafullydocumentedprocedurefordetermininglowconcentrationsofchromiumpresentinbothwater-andsolvent-reduciblecoatingstodeterminecompliance.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthecontentofchromium(includingchromiumoxide)intherangebetween0.005and1.0%presentinthesolidsofliquidcoatingsorindriedfilmsobtainedfrompreviouslycoatedsubstrates.Thereisnoreasontobelievethathigherlevelscouldnotbedeterminedbythistestmethod,providedthatappropriatedilutionsandadjustmentsinspecimensizeandreagentquantitiesaremade.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardstatementsaregiveninSection.
