【摘要】:Abrasionandsmudgeresistanceduringhandling,transport,andstorageisessentialtopreventthemarringorsmudgingofimagesproducedfrombusinessimagingproducts.Recognizingthattheactualamountofabrasion/smudgeoccurringdependsonrelativehumidity,temperature,andahostofothervariables,thispracticeprovidesameansforcomparingtheabrasionandsmudgeresistanceofimagesproducedfrombusinessimagingproductsunderlaboratoryconditions.Thispracticemaybeusedtodeterminetheabrasionandsmudgeresistanceofimagesproducedfrombusinessimagingproductssuchastypewriters,copiers,impactprinters,andnonimpactprinters.Thispracticemayalsobeusedtoevaluatetherelativeabrasionandsmudgeresistanceofvariousribbons,inks,andtoners.Thispracticemaybeusedforcontrolofproductquality,comparativeanalysisofmachines,orasaresearchanddevelopmenttool.1.1ThispracticecoverstheprocedurefordeterminingtheabrasionandsmudgeresistanceofimagesproducedfromofficeproductsusingaGA-CATcomprehensiveabrasiontester.1.2Thispracticeisapplicabletoimagesproducedfrombusinessimagingproductssuchastypewriters,copiers,impactprinters,andnonimpactprinters.1.3OthertestmethodsusingtheCrockmeter,Sutherlandrubtester,andTaberAbradercanbeemployedtoevaluatesmudgeandabrasioncharacteristics.TheresultsobtainedbytheseunitsarenotnecessarilyequivalenttothoseobtainedwiththeGA-CAT.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Liquidautomaticopticalparticlecounters(APCs)areusedinmonitoringcontaminationlevelsinhydraulicoil,toestablishcomponentandassemblycleanlinesslevelspecifications,andindeterminingfilterefficienciesandsizeratings.AsaresultofthereplacementofISO4402withISO11171(particlecountercalibration),thereplacementofISO4572withISO16889(multi-passfiltertest),andthenewISO11943(on-lineparticlecountercalibration),itisanticipatedthatthequalityandreliabilityofparticlecountandfiltertestdatawillimprove,increasingtheirusefulnesstoindustry.However,theresultantredefinitionofparticlesizesandtheuseofanewtestdustaffectshowcontaminationlevelsandfilterperformancearereportedandinterpreted.Theimpactofthesechangesisdiscussedinthisreport.
