【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversdeterminationofthepre-flame,cool-flame,andhot-flamereactionthresholdtemperaturesandtheincipientreactiontemperatureofliquidsandsolids.Datamaybeobtainedatpressuresfromlowvacuumto0.8MPa(115psia)fortemperatureswithintherangefromroomtemperatureto925K(1200F).Thistestmethodmaybeappliedtoanysubstancethatisaliquidorasolidatroomtemperatureandatmosphericpressureandthat,atroomtemperature,iscompatiblewithglassandstainlesssteel.Airistheintendedoxidizingmedium;however,othermediamaybesubstitutedprovidedappropriateprecautionsaretakenfortheirsafeuse.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Incaseswherematerials,products,orequipmentareavailableininch-poundunitsonly,SIunitsareomitted.Thisstandardshouldbeusedtomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofmaterials,products,orassembliesinresponsetoheatandflameundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsandshouldnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefirehazardorfireriskofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.However,resultsofthistestmaybeusedaselementsofafireriskassessmentwhichtakesintoaccountallofthefactorswhicharepertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardofaparticularenduse.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,see6.8,Sections7and9.
